Ascend 2023 sessions will provide the Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits you need to continue to advance your career and deepen your industry knowledge.
Ascend will have a range of educational content on E-Business Suite ERP & HCM, on-prem EPM/Hyperion, Cloud EPM, Cloud ERP, Cloud HCM, data science and analytics, Cloud SCM, Cloud CX, PeopleSoft HCM, Taleo. Learn and personal growth and leadership. CPE credits will be offered to all 50-minute sessions presented both in-person (Group Live programs) and virtually (Group Internet based programs). You can read more details about our educational sessions. CPE credits are provided by several different certification organizations. Please see details for attaining CPE credits for your specific certification below:
National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) Certification
Attendees will have the opportunity to gain up to eleven CPE credit hours.
Ascend 2023 will provide CPE credit in the following fields of study:
- Auditing - Technical: Technical Computer Software and Applications
- Computer Software and Applications
- Finance - Technical
- Information Technology
- Personnel/Human Resources
Please note: CPE credits are only available for live attendance (virtually or in-person) and are not offered for viewing session recordings.
There are no prerequisites or advanced preparation required and all sessions are for basic experience levels. The objectives for each session are included in the agenda.
Instructions for Receiving National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) CPE Credits
- Please place an “X” next to all CPE courses attended on the attached course list. Print in the spaces provided using blue or black ink. Fill in all the information completely and legibly.
- You must complete the session evaluation in the conference app within 1 hour of the session ending.
- 50 minutes of learning = 1 CPE credit hour.
- Completed forms must be emailed to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by September 30, 2023. CPE credit certificates will be emailed to you within 6 weeks.

IN-PERSON ATTENDEES:
- Download or pick up your Ascend 2023 CPE Form (PDF file) at the registration desk. Follow full instructions on the form to receive credit.
VIRTUAL ATTENDEES:
- Download the Ascend CPE Form (PDF) and follow instructions for Virtual CPE
- You must log in and out of each virtual session through the conference app to be eligible for CPE credit.
- You must be logged into the LIVE virtual session for at least 50 minutes to receive CPE credit.
- You must ask at least one question during the session to be eligible to receive CPE credit.
- CPE credit cannot be awarded by viewing the session recording. You MUST attend the live presentation.
Human Capital Management and Payroll Certification Information
IHRIM/HRIP
This education program has been approved for 11.0 HRIP Recertification Credit Hours. Logo use is not an endorsement of the quality of the program by IHRIM, but an indication that it meets the requirements to be pre-approved for credit.
HR Certification Institute® (HRCI)
HR Certification Institute® (HRCI®) has pre-approved this activity for specific HR sessions. The verified sessions for this program, have been approved for up to 10.0 HR (General) recertification credit hours toward aPHR™, aPHRi™, PHR®, PHRca®, SPHR®, GPHR®, PHRi™ and SPHRi™ recertification through HR Certification Institute® (HRCI®).
American Payroll Association (APA)
American Payroll Association (APA) is in the process of reviewing and approving the Ascend conference for its certification program. We anticipate up to 10.0 credits to be available during the conference. We expect to receive approval just before the conference. In the meantime, sessions that have been submitted for approval are indicated in the conference app.
Note: An attendee can only participate in one live course within a time slot, therefore the maximum they can receive if they attend one session per each time slot, is up to 1.0 RCHs for the week. If someone takes a live course, they cannot receive additional credit for watching it on demand as well. Certificates may get credit using the APA course codes, once per calendar year for the same course title, course codes for only the approved sessions up to 10 credits (for “Product/Software” type session it is .5 RCH and for “Educational” type session it is up to 1 RCH).

The Oracle Applications & Technology Users Group (OATUG) is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE sponsors through its website nasbaregistry.org.
